We are happy to announce that we officially tied the knot on 8/24! With an intimate ceremony on the terrace of the Rowan Palm Springs, overlooking the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains and downtown Palm Springs, we started the next chapter of our lives together as husband and wife.
Although we decided to celebrate our love only with the company of each other, please know that you were in our thoughts and hearts. We look forward to celebrating with you all when it's safe to be together again.
With Love, Adrienne & Van
We met over 11 years ago when we were working for the same company. After months of subtle and not-so-subtle flirting, we officially started dating in October 2009. We often talked about getting married, but the timing never seemed right. When Kobe Bryant tragically and unexpectedly passed in early 2020, we confronted how much time we were wasting waiting for a perfect moment that may never come. There was no engagement, just a mutual decision to make it official. Finally.
In August 2019, we both visited Palm Springs for the first time for The Bell - A Taco Bell Hotel & Resort, a truly unique, limited-time event. We loved the city and the whole vibe of Palm Springs. It was also special to have a place that didn't have any other connections in our lives other than that weekend. A highlight for us was the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and Mount Jacinto State Park. Our original plan was to elope on top of Mount Jacinto, but due to Covid-19, we had to rearrange our plans. We chose The Rowan as our location because of its beautiful decor and amenities, and it's perfectly located in the center of Downtown Palm Springs. Eloping was always our plan.
Our day wouldn't have been special without a lot of people, and you can see everyone that played a role in one way or another here, but the biggest shoutout and most appreciation goes to our amazing officiant, Josh. He was our Man of Honor, Best Man, driver, wardrobe assistant, private security, everything and more. We couldn't have done it without him, and we love him and are so grateful for him for taking the risk traveling during these times to spend the weekend with us and share this day. He also wrote the best ceremony intro we could've ever asked for.
